Eudist Press International
In December 2016, Pope Francis called a meeting and he discussed his plan to discern whether St. John Eudes should be declared a Doctor of the Church. A team of Vatican theologians was assigned to study the question and are scheduled to return their report to the Holy Father in summer 2019. Regardless of the outcome, we expect global interest in the Eudist spiritual tradition to increase, perhaps drastically, as soon as this summer.
By way of preparation, the Eudist US Region officially launched Eudist Press in May of last year with the goal of serving readers internationally, initially in English but eventually in multiple languages. Its mission is to collect, preserve, publish, and promote the treasures of St. John Eudes’ spiritual heritage. So far, we have reached various milestones and roadblocks.
