In Carlsbad, CA, the Eudists live in two buildings, both rectories belonging to St. Patrick Parish. One is on the parish campus, connected to the parish offices, the other is a house up the street. The Eudists in Carlsbad together with those in Solana Beach belong to the San Diego Local Community.

Fr. Burson is a native of Nova Scotia, Canada. He was well-loved for years as the librarian at Cardinal Dougherty High School in Buffalo, NY. Since then, he served in parish ministry at St. Joseph Parish in Rayne, Louisiana, then at Blessed Sacrament Parish in San Diego.
